THE PROBLEM
How might we help people with celiac disease find safe restaurants with verified, up-to-date information?
THE SOLUTION
Menuver provides verified, up-to-date gluten-free dining information with detailed safety ratings, menu items, and community reviews. Users can confidently discover restaurants, plan meals, and share experiences with others who understand their needs.
THE DESIGN PROCESS
Discovery & Research
We started with extensive user interviews and surveys to understand the specific challenges faced by people with celiac disease. Key insights included the need for verification systems, detailed ingredient information, and community trust.
Ideation & Wireframing
Multiple design iterations explored different approaches to restaurant discovery, information architecture, and trust indicators. We prioritized clarity and safety over aesthetics in critical decision points.
Prototyping & Testing
Interactive prototypes were tested with 15 users to validate navigation patterns, safety indicators, and information hierarchy. Feedback led to significant improvements in the verification badge system and filtering options.
Visual Design & Branding
The final visual language balances approachability with trustworthiness. Green accents signal safety, while clear typography and ample white space reduce cognitive load when users are making important dining decisions.
Menuver represents a meaningful step toward making dining accessible and stress-free for the gluten-free community. Through user-centered design and community collaboration, we're building trust one verified restaurant at a time.
